Senlis | A 22-year-old man receives 30 months in prison for pimping a minor
Aggravated pimping and extortion
A man found guilty of aggravated pimping at the Senlis court receives 18 months. He delivered young girls into prostitution.
South of the Oise. 18 months in prison for Cyril Delfolie found guilty of aggravated pimping
The climate is heavy this April 4 before the Senlis judicial court where Cyril Delfolie, 22, must be tried in an immediate appearance for two cases of aggravated pimping and extortion.
With a faded t-shirt on his shoulders, a beard collar framing his face, the young man enters the defendant's box to listen to President Antoine Duchene read a summary of the facts.
It all begins with the worrying disappearance of a 16-year-old girl who ran away from the home where she had been placed for several months: information taken seriously by the investigators who quickly found the teenager.
She then explains that she has engaged in prostitution since meeting Cyril Delfolie on social networks.
She claims to have earned 10,000 euros since registering on a site dedicated to paid dating and that she uses cocaine and nitrous oxide.
Another young girl of the same age is also identified and admits to being a prostitute for several weeks.
A meeting on Snap
Before the bar, the accused partially acknowledges his participation:
«I have already accompanied a girl into prostitution, but only one and not two. We met on Snap and I later learned she was only 16. She moved in with me and one evening when I came home, I found some money. Another day, I went to help her because she had called me saying she was kidnapped...»
Concerning extortion, he is a little more talkative:
«It was a client who canceled before a meeting and I blackmailed him on a whim…»
The victim is present in the courtroom and testifies:
«I had canceled this meeting and he called me saying that because of me, he had missed a pass. I started by giving him 200 euros and then it crescendoed to reach almost 6000 euros…»
The worst nightmare
Lawyer representing the two minors, Maître Delphine Le Gac does not have words harsh enough to criticize the behavior of Cyril Delfolie:
«This issue is our society’s worst nightmare. Minors exploited while they are still practically children. It is beyond comprehension. They are sold as objects on Bon Coin. These two teenagers were placed in a shelter and it was because they met this individual that they became prostitutes. What interests him is money, only money. It’s disgusting…»
The public prosecutor is on the same line:
«Vulnerable young girls and this man who decided to exploit that vulnerability. No words come out of his mouth, no remorse, nothing... I ask you to sentence him to 3 years in prison, one year of which will be suspended on probation...»
The defense lawyer, Maître Deborah Zubillaga, is not pleading for acquittal:
«I am a little more nuanced about the facts. My client, this is the first time he has compared. He is not at the head of a prostitution network. As he wants to please everyone, he says yes to everyone...»
At the end of the deliberations, Cyril Delfolie received 30 months in prison including one year of suspended probation and returns to detention for the remaining 18 months.
